What should I consider when booking an apartment in London?

• All of our short term rentals are non-smoking.


• Make sure that your apartment has central heating if you’re visiting the city over the winter as temperatures will often be below freezing.


• Most of our self-catering apartments are small and comfortable, and ideally suited for groups of four to five people.


• London is a huge city, so bear in mind that, unless you’ve got a big budget, you’ll need to make use of public transport to get around. Thankfully the London underground system is second biggest in the world with regular services to more than 250 stations


• Unfortunately we do not accept pets in any of our London apartments

London is an exciting destination for all the family and settling in to your own apartment offers a unique sense of comfort and security that hotels or hostels simply don’t have. Above all else, staying in an apartment in London is a hassle-free experience that allows you to create a holiday around the needs of your family.


• If you’re in London with friends, going to a show in the West End, or splashing out on a shopping trip, there is no better way to stay in the buzzing English capital. After a day of retail therapy on Oxford Street you need somewhere to put your feet up, relax, and have a drink. Aside from the obvious advantages of having your own apartment to chill out in, there are also real savings to be made over other types of accommodation, especially if you’re travelling as part of a large group.


• For business travellers, our holiday rentals, many of which have internet access, provide accommodation in which you can stay connected to the office while relaxing in your own space, with no interruptions.

I’m new to the city, which area should I stay in?

• Central London: Home to most of the iconic sights in London, and countless plush apartments, this area is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the world. From Big Ben to Buckingham Palace, there are photo opportunities on every corner. This is also where you’ll find most of London’s top theatres.


• Kensington: A chic residential area close to Hyde Park, this is a highly desirable part of the city that provides easy access to the city centre. It is also home to the famous Ritz Hotel and its famously expensive afternoon tea, one of the most quintessentially English institutions in the city. If you’re after a cheap holiday however, this area probably isn’t for you.


• Marylebone: This wealthy part of inner city London is situated between Hyde Park and Regent’s Park, and has many traditional apartment buildings. Its location is ideal for exploring central London. One of the city’s most famous thoroughfares, Barker Street, runs through this district.


• Notting Hill: This famously cosmopolitan district is one of the hippest areas in the city, largely due to the influence of West Indian immigrants who flocked to the area and its cheap rent in the 1950s. Today however the area has been thoroughly gentrified and is known for the affluent inhabitants of its large Victorian terraced houses.
